Remote Viewing

The Remote Viewing feature is the whole reason why you have a Slingbox! It's the heart and soul of the product. It's great to be able to watch your TV anywhere inside your home network ... the backyard, up in the bedroom, or down in the workshop. But it's being able to watch your TV anywhere that's so cool, whether you're in New Jersey or the Isle of Jersey; Berlin in Ohio, or Berlin in Germany. Anywhere you have a computer (with SlingPlayer installed) and a broadband connection, you have access to your TV back at home.

Got more than one TV you want to watch anywhere? Get a Slingbox for each one, and you can switch between 'em from within SlingPlayer! (Just remember, SlingPlayer can only display one Slingbox at a time, and only one SlingPlayer-equipped computer can watch a Slingbox at a time.)

The SlingPlayer Setup Assistant helps you with setting up Remote Viewing when you first configure a Slingbox. You can also revisit those settings within SlingPlayer by choosing Setup Assistant from the Settings menu.

Help Articles
Viewing your Slingbox over the Internet
With remote viewing, you can watch your Slingbox from any place that you can access a high-speed Internet connection.
Switching between audio/video sources
If you've hooked up more than one audio and/or video source to your Slingbox, it's easy to switch between them.
What happens when two viewers try to watch the same Slingbox
Only one viewer at a time can watch a particular Slingbox. If you know the Administrator Password for that Slingbox, you can disconnect another viewer ... but it's not a nice thing to do!
