With some Slingbox models, you can hook up more than one video device. You can then switch between these different devices, even if you're halfway around the world! So if you want to see your DVR one time, and your DVD player another time, it's easy for you to switch back and forth.
(With some Slingbox models, you can only watch audio and video together for one programming source. But you can connect another device on a video-only basis. This can be useful if you need to connect directly to a satellite box to access special features, or if you want to monitor a security camera that does not provide audio.)
